Present there were members and alternate members of the C.C., GFTUK.

Officials of the Central Committee and the provincial, city and county committees of the GFTUK attended the meeting as observers.

The meeting discussed the issue of thoroughly implementing the resolutions of the 8th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

Pak In Chol, chairman of the GFTUK Central Committee, made a report.

The report analyzed and reviewed the work of the trade unions for implementing the resolutions of the 6th and 7th plenary meetings of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK in the first half of the year and referred to the ways for fulfilling their duty in the struggle to usher in a new upsurge in socialist construction by improving the work of the trade unions in a revolutionary way.

The reporter called upon all the officials and members of the trade unions to contribute to glorifying this year as a year of great victory to be proudly recorded in the history of the DPRK with loyalty to the Party.

Then speeches were made.

Speakers expressed their determination to demonstrate the might of the trade unions by displaying extraordinary working ability and devotion in implementing the resolutions of the plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the WPK.

A relevant resolution was adopted after the study on its draft at the enlarged plenary meeting.
