The book contains 61 works including talks, letters and congratulatory messages made by Kim Jong Il from November Juche 85 (1996) to May Juche 86 (1997).

In his works he stressed the need for the Party organizations and officials to conduct the Party work well as required by the situation and thus open up a new turning phase in the revolution and construction.

There are also works indicating the tasks facing the field of literature and art, the orientation and ways for developing the country's sports technique and the tasks for developing the movement of Koreans in Japan onto a new higher stage in conformity with the prevailing situation and changed circumstances.

The book also contains works giving perfect answers to the theoretical and practical issues arising in various fields of the revolution and construction.
