The provincial rural economy committees confirmed the harvesting time and concentrated their force and means on finishing potato harvest.

Officials and agricultural workers in North Phyongan Province increased production by ensuring the number of seed potato per phyong and manuring and cultivating them in a responsible manner to meet the nutrition requirements of crops and characteristics of different species.

Similar successes were witnessed in South Hwanghae and South Phyongan provinces, and Pyongyang, Nampho and Kaesong municipalities.
