The society for honoring the memory of Ham Sok Hon and other civic and social organizations issued a declaration on the situation titled "Yoon Suk Yeol, resign from power" on July 10.

The declaration charged that Yoon Suk Yeol, parasitic on the prosecution's power, pushed the Korean peninsula into a crisis, rapidly deteriorating the economy, diplomacy, security, south-north relations and all other fields. It went on: Yoon has acted as a spokesman for Japan, covering up the past crimes of the Japanese imperialists and backing the discharge of nuclear waste water from the Fukushima Atomic Power Plant. The traitor is running high fever in "tightening alliance" with the U.S. and Japan, while defining the north as "principal enemy" and clamoring about a "preemptive attack on the north". The departed soul of Syngman Rhee, pro-U.S. sycophant, is called back.

Denouncing the "combined joint firepowr annihilation drill" as an action for igniting a war, the declaration stated that Yoon Suk Yeol seeking a war should be ousted at once.

Amid the vigorous movement of various circles for surely ousting traitor Yoon, the "Candlelight Action" declared on July 11 that it would join the "movement headquarters for the resignation of the Yoon Suk Yeol regime" formed with 37 organizations, including the Confederation of Trade Unions (CTU) and the Federation of Peasants Associations.

At a press conference called in Seoul in this regard, the organization denounced the Yoon Suk Yeol "regime" for bringing the crisis of a nuclear war to the Korean peninsula through introduction of U.S. strategic assets and successive war drills against the north and backing Japan's planned discharge of nuclear waste water to pose threat to the people's lives.

It called upon the people from all walks of life to join the action for ousting Yoon Suk Yeol without fail through an all-people resistance.

The Metal Workers' Union launched an all-out general strike on July 12 amid the daily-increasing general strike of the CTU which set it as a major target to oust traitor Yoon.

More than 100 000 members of the Metal Workers' Union took part in the rallies held in 12 areas including Seoul, Ulsan, Kwangju, South Jolla Province, Taegu, Taejon and Pusan on the same day.

Speakers at the rallies declared that the Metal Workers' Union would go on a general strike for the resignation of the Yoon Suk Yeol "regime" which destroyed all things including labor, people's living, democracy and peace.

Then the participants staged demonstrations, shouting "Yoon Suk Yeol, step down!"

The Progressive Federation of Students, the People's Sovereignty Solidarity and other organizations of different social standings issued statements demanding the resignation of traitor Yoon Suk Yeol on the same day.

The statements noted that growing stronger is the people's anger at Yoon Suk Yeol who caused the second "state scandal", not content with bringing about the disaster of people's living, diplomatic disaster and war crisis.
