The contest was attended by plasterers selected from ministries, national institutions and provincial people's committees. It decided contesters’ standings by judging their understanding of basic theoretical issues and preparation of tools and evaluating the quality and quantity of their individual work.

The attendants gave full play to their technical skills and collectivist spirit fostered at worksites of socialist construction seething with miracles and innovations true to the grandiose plan of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The standings were announced on July 16 and trophies, medals, diplomas and prizes were awarded to the plasterers who showed high technical skills.
