The health workers union under the confederation went on a general strike on July 13.

The largest-ever general strike involving more than 45,000 was launched simultaneously in Seoul, Pusan, Kwangju, South Jolla Province and other areas.

More than 20,000 trade union members from different areas attended a rally near Kwanghwamun in Seoul.

Speakers said that they went on a general strike against the Yoon regime which is only threatening the people in disregard of their lives.

Noting that the general strike would be the largest ever in the history of health workers union, they stressed that they would continue their strike until the demand of the union is met.

The teachers union, too, launched a general strike on the same day.

At a rally held in Seoul, speakers denounced Yoon Suk Yeol for ruining education and obliterating the right to existence of the unionists.

Ousting Yoon is the only way for defending education and ensuring a proper life, they stressed.

Then, members of the health workers union and the teachers union staged a demonstration march to Sejong Road.

A large-scale rally was hosted by CTU on Sejong Road in Seoul.

Attending the rally were tens of thousands of CTU members from different areas.

The speakers charged that the whole world is opposed to Japan's risky plan to discharge nuclear polluted water into the sea but only the Yoon regime is actively supporting Japan as its stooge.

Saying that Yoon Suk Yeol and workers can no longer live under the same sky, they called for pooling efforts to oust Yoon from power without fail.

Then the participants in the rally marched toward Ryongsan where the citadel of the dictatorial rule is located.

On July 14 the construction workers union went on a general strike.

Rallies took place in Seoul, Pusan, Ulsan, Kwangju, North Jolla Province, North Chungchong Province and other areas.

That day, the health workers union, the government employees' union, the teachers union and other organizations held rallies to join the general strike of the CTU together with the construction workers union.
