Events Held Abroad on Demise Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- Lectures, round-table talks and other memorial events took place in Guinea, Mali, Senegal, Uganda and Kuwait from July 3 to 11 on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. The events, attended by personages of various circles and other citizens in those countries, expressed reverence for President Kim Il Sung who performed the greatest exploits ever in the world history. The chairmen of the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement and the Uganda-DPRK Friendship Association said that the life of the President was a precious one dedicated to the cause of independence against imperialism, adding that the Juche idea founded by him serves as the guideline for national-liberation struggle which enables the oppressed people to win freedom and independence of their countries by their own efforts. The exploits performed by the President for the human cause of independence will shine forever, they stressed. The chairperson of the Kuwait-DPRK Friendship Association said: President Kim Il Sung is a great man who liberated Korea from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule and defeated the U.S. imperialists in the three-year Korean War. The U.S. and its vassal forces' sanctions and moves to stifle the DPRK are still going on, but the Korean people are achieving great successes in various fields, overcoming the ordeals and difficulties under the wise guidance of His Excellency Kim Jong Un. Round-table talks were held in Vietnam on July 7 on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung and the 66th anniversary of the meeting between President Kim Il Sung and President Ho Chi Minh on a visit to the DPRK. |
