Taking part in the contest, sponsored by the Central Committee of the Korean Association of Cooks, were cooks selected from the regional and sectional preliminary contests.

The jury appreciated tangogi soups and other tangogi dishes made by cooks within a set time on the spot.

Drawing the attention of the participants were soup and dishes presented by cooks of Pyongyang Tangogi Restaurant, Koryo Restaurant of Pyongyang Koryo Hotel and other restaurants.

Looking round the dishes on display, they exchanged their skills and experience gained in making national foods.

Diplomas, medals and certificates in the name of the Central Committee of the Korean Association of Cooks were awarded to the organizations and cooks highly appreciated at the contest.
