The Taedonggang Fish Farming and Spawning Station secured breeding fish of high productivity and produced a large amount of fry and supplied more than 2 million kinyom fish (silver carp), grass fish and others to cage-net fish farms in the municipality.

The Youth Tudan Breed-Fish Farm raised the rate of hatching and increased the rate of survival of fry by directing efforts to producing protein food.

Officials and employees of fish-breeding farms in Samsok, Ryongsong and Kangnam areas selected good kinds of fish food to suit the biological characteristics of each species and the stage of its growth and introduced effective fish farming methods to raise many fry, and released them into the Taedong River.
