The three-storeyed library in the central district of Chongjin City has reading rooms, lecture rooms and academic seminar halls, etc. with good conditions for giving information service, conducting research, discussion and dissemination and hosting various exhibitions.

The inauguration ceremony took place on July 21.

Present there were Han Yong Song, Kim Jong Sop and Kim Pong Gil, secretaries of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, other officials and working people in the province and employees of the library.

Pak Kyong Su, vice-chairman of the provincial people's committee, made an address to be followed by speeches.

Speakers expressed their determination to more dynamically accelerate the ongoing all-people general advance for hastening the overall development of Korean-style socialism by dint of science and technology, true to the intention of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
