Construction of Railway Martyrs Cemetery Completed
Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- The Railway Martyrs Cemetery was wonderfully built on the occasion of July 27, the significant war victory day, under the warm care of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Buried at the cemetery, which is located in Haksan-dong, Hyongjesan District, Pyongyang Municipality, were remains of martyrs who made contributions to hastening the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War by displaying the indomitable fighting spirit and matchless self-sacrificing spirit in the flames of the war and thus successfully ensuring wartime transport and production.

Present at the inaugural ceremony held on July 25 were Minister of Railways Jang Chun Song, officials in the field of railway transport and bereaved families.

Kim Yong Nam, chief secretary of the Ministry of Railways Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made an inaugural address.

He said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, supreme incarnation of revolutionary moral obligation, personally examined the map showing the bird's-eye view of the cemetery and clearly indicated the orientation and ways for the construction. And he gave detailed guidance so that the cemetery was wonderfully built so that the feats and life of railway transport soldiers in the 1950s have been further glorified, the reporter added.

The participants laid bouquets and flowers before the cemetery and paid a silent tribute to the memory of the martyrs.

After the ceremony, they went round the cemetery.
