Accompanying the delegation were Kim Min Sop, vice-minister of National Defence of the DPRK, and Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK.

At the old home of President Kim Il Sung in Mangyongdae, members of the delegation looked round with keen interest the historical relics preserved with much care, being briefed on the sacred revolutionary career of the President who embarked on the road of revolution in his early years and defeated the two formidable imperialist foes in one generation under the uplifted banner of Juche and anti-imperialist independence and thus performed immortal exploits for the prosperity of the country and the accomplishment of the cause of global independence.

Sergei Shoigu wrote in the visitor's book:

The Mangyongdae Revolutionary Site visually shows the deep and sincere respect of the DPRK people for President Kim Il Sung who built the first independent state in Korea and laid a foundation for the friendly relations between our two countries.

I wish the people of the DPRK peace, well-being and fresh successes in building a socialist state.
