Solidarity Message to Cuban Organizations
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba sent a message of solidarity to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples and the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification on July 26, the 70th anniversary of the assault on Moncada Barracks.

The message said that the armed struggle started with the assault on Moncada Barracks under the guidance of Fidel Castro Ruz, the historic leader of the Cuban people, on July 26, 1953, dealt a telling blow to the U.S. imperialists and the pro-U.S. dictatorial regime of Batista and developed the revolutionary struggle of the Cuban people onto a new high stage.

The fraternal Cuban people, who are firmly carrying forward the revolutionary cause pioneered and advanced by the preceding leaders, have waged a courageous struggle to implement the resolutions of the Eighth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, overcoming the difficulties created due to the U.S. imperialists' anti-Cuban moves and achieved good fruition in defending the revolution and building socialism, the message said.

The traditional DPRK-Cuba friendly relations forged in the struggle for independence against imperialism and for the socialist cause are now further developing into strategic and comradely relations under the deep care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the respected Comrade Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, it said.

The message affirmed that we will make all efforts to positively develop the friendly relations with the Cuban people based on the revolutionary principle and comradely obligation, extending firm support and solidarity to the just cause of the Cuban people once again on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the assault on Moncada Barracks.
