Invited to the banquets as the guests of honor were the veterans participating in the celebrations of the V-Day including war veterans and persons of wartime merits.

Present there on invitation were members of the party and government delegation of the People's Republic of China led by Li Hongzhong on a visit to Pyongyang and Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.

Kim Tok Hun and Choe Ryong Hae, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), senior officials of the Party and the government, leading officials of armed forces organs and labor innovators in Pyongyang Municipality sat with the participants.

Speeches were made there.

Speakers said that it is the legitimate right acquired by the Korean people through the 70-year-long bloody struggle after the war of three years to celebrate the V-Day with splendor, adding that the whole country has turned out more dynamically to make a new history of greater victory.

It is the might of a powerful nation ardently desired by the Korean people and the honor of our state which will never be replaced by anything that the DPRK has turned into an entity of powerful country nobody can dare to provoke and firmly taken the irresistibly strong weapon capable of successfully carving out its future under the distinguished leadership of the great Comrade Kim Jong Un, the speakers said, affirming that no force will stop the advance of the DPRK.

Saying that the historic significance of the war victory won by fine sons and daughters of the Chinese people in the same trench with the Korean people in the most difficult period is getting more highlighted with the passage of time, they expressed the will of the WPK and the DPRK government to further strengthen friendship and solidarity with the fraternal Chinese people in the struggle for socialism.
