Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- The party and government delegation of the People's Republic of China (PRC) led by Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the PRC, on Friday visited the cemetery of martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) in Hoechang County of South Phyongan Province, the DPRK, to lay a floral basket at it.

The delegation was accompanied by Mun Song Hyok, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.

Members of the guard of honor of the Korean People's Army lined up at the cemetery.

The national anthems of the PRC and the DPRK were played.

The floral basket in the name of the delegation was placed at the monument to the CPV martyrs.

Written on the ribbons of the basket were letters reading "Martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers will be immortal".

The participants paid a silent tribute to the memory of the CPV martyrs who unsparingly dedicated their precious blood and lives to helping the Korean people in their revolutionary war against the imperialist aggressors by displaying the anti-imperialist revolutionary spirit and noble internationalism.

They laid a bouquet and flowers before the grave of Mao Anying at the cemetery and paid a tribute to him.

Then they went round the cemetery.

On the same day, the delegation visited the Songhung Revolutionary Site.

Li Hongzhong made an entry in the visitor's book.
