Sylvere Boswa Isekombe, general secretary of the Communist Party of the DR Congo, said in a statement that though 70 years have passed since the fireworks of war victory were displayed in the DPRK, the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War which adorned a page in the history of world wars with pride is still now of great significance.

Saying that the DPRK checked and frustrated the U.S. imperialists' moves to realize their strategy for world domination after the Second World War and prevented a new world war and thus defended peace and security of mankind, he stressed that the victory won by the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War was a world historic event recorded with pride in modern history.

Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party of Romania, in an article titled "President Kim Il Sung who defeated two imperialisms in one century" posted on a website, praised him for setting a world-historic example of national liberation struggle in colonies.
