Officials of the Ministry of Urban Management and other relevant units learn in detail about damage by a long spell of wet weather and take necessary measures as heavy rain has hit all areas of the country in recent days.

Pyongyang Municipality surveyed the conditions of running water plant and water supply and drainage facilities and ensured that they were not damaged. And it pays attention to supplying enough domestic water the hygienic safety of which is completely guaranteed.

Chongjin City of North Hamgyong Province maintained and repaired the networks of rain-water to improve their capacity and has directed efforts to dredging at the sewage treatment plants.

Similar work was carried out in Kangwon and South Hamgyong provinces, too.
