Present there were Chairman Kim Chil Song and vice-chairpersons of the International Kothongryon, officials of the united confederations of Koreans in Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and a senior researcher of the Center for the Study of Korea under the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Also attending it were the chairperson of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, a section chief of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the acting chairperson of the Korean War Veterans' Council of Russia, the chief of the international group for solidarity with the DPRK and members of Juche idea study organizations, political parties, social organizations, academic circles and friendship associations.

Present on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to Russia and his embassy officials.

Prior to the seminar, the participants paid a congratulatory visit to the DPRK embassy in Moscow to lay a floral basket before the art work depicting President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il standing together at the embassy and bowed to them.

Speakers at the seminar said that July 27 is the day when the Korean people defeated the U.S. imperialists who dreamed of world domination and got a surrender document from them.

They said that this historic victory was an outcome of the gifted strategy and wise leadership of Comrade Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people.

The U.S. is resorting to the moves for a new war in a bid to recover its bitter defeat in the past Korean War, they said, adding that today's DPRK is not a young state in the days of the Korean War.

They affirmed that the heroic Korean people would surely win victory in the confrontation with the U.S. as there is the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

At the end of the seminar, a performance was given by art troupes of the United Confederation of Koreans in Russia and overseas Koreans.
