Floral baskets were laid before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin of China and the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il at the DPRK embassy in Beijing and DPRK missions and consulate general in China on July 27. They were presented by the General Association of Koreans in China, the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China, the Association of Korean Women in China, the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China, the Zhongnan Regional Association, the Jilin City branch of the Jilin Regional Association and the Dandong City branch of the Liaoning Regional Association under the General Association of Koreans in China, the family of Hwang Paek Ha, a China-resident Korean related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, and the family of Hong Yong Sun, former vice-chairperson of the Jilin Regional Association.

A meeting of the General Association of Koreans in China took place in Shenyang to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok and officials and part-time officials of the General Association of Koreans in China, officials of the Central Standing Committee of the association, officials of the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China, members of the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China and the Association of Korean Women in China, chiefs of branches under the Liaoning Regional Association, citizens of the Shenyang City Branch, the chairperson of the Association of Korean National Businessmen in China and other Koreans in China and veterans of the Chinese People's Volunteers.

Choe Un Bok said in the report that the Korean people and the heroic Korean People's Army (KPA) performed miracles unprecedented in history by defeating the U.S. imperialist aggressors and defending the dignity of the country and honor of the nation under the wise leadership of the great leader Generalissimo President Kim Il Sung, ever-victorious iron-willed commander and outstanding military strategist.

The ever-victorious history of the DPRK is being given steady continuity and its dignity and might as an independent power are being demonstrated to the whole world, thanks to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, the reporter stressed.

There were a round-table talk, performances by Korean artistes in China and a reception to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the war victory.

Meanwhile, a meeting took place at the hall of the General Association of Korean Residents in China on July 26 to adopt a letter of the association addressed to Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the war victory.

Celebration events were held at the Yanbian Regional Association, the Mudanjiang Regional Association and the Shanghai City Branch of the Zhongnan Regional Association and other organizations affiliated to the General Association of Koreans in China.
