On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, the meeting adopted a decision on setting July 27 as a day of international solidarity with the DPRK and widely organizing and conducting solidarity activities for support to the struggle of the Korean people and youth among member organizations of the federation on that occasion every year.

It also emphasized the world-historic significance of the Korean people's war victory and issued a solidarity statement to the heroic Korean people and youth on the 70th anniversary of the great war victory.

July 27 is a historic day for not only the Korean people and youth but also the world progressive youth opposed to imperialism, the statement said, stressing the weighty significance of the Korean people's war victory lies in that they checked the implementation of the U.S. imperialists' strategy for world domination and protected human peace by preventing a new world war.

The DPRK's victory means the victory of the world progressive people and youth struggling against imperialism, the statement said, calling on all the anti-imperialist youth organizations and youths to intensify the solidarity activities for support to the struggle of the Korean people and youth.

Meanwhile, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received a letter from the president of the WFDY on July 27 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The letter said that the war victory day of the DPRK is a significant holiday for the world progressive people and youth, adding that the DPRK fighting against imperialism is a model of all anti-imperialist countries and youths.

It noted that the WFDY, strengthening cooperation with the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, set the day of international solidarity with the DPRK and called upon the progressive youths the world over to extend active support to the struggle of the Korean people and youth and strongly denounce the imperialists' anti-DPRK moves.

The president of the WFDY posted an article on its website on July 26, in which he stressed the need for the organizations under the federation to conduct vigorous activities for solidarity with the Korean people in various forms and methods on the occasion of the Day of International Solidarity with the DPRK and said that no moves can block the support and encouragement of the world progressive youths for the DPRK.
