Workshop Given to Implement Childcare Policy

Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- A workshop was given for officials in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK as a part of the work for making fresh progress in the implementation of the childcare policy, true to the resolutions of the 8th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Present there were provincial, city and county officials, officials in the field of animal husbandry and other officials involved in implementing the childcare policy.

The workshop, held in Sonchon County, dealt with such various issues as the method for raising the level of scientific nutritional care of children. Its participants watched a video on the theme of markedly expanding the provincial pasture area through a vigorous pasture-creating campaign and breeding good strains of dairy goats.

After the workshop, they visited a goat farm in the county to learn from its good experience.
