The remodeled scientific research base has a comprehensive analysis space, a research space and laboratories with necessary equipment, and a scientific research achievements exhibition room. It will contribute to making new progress in implementing the policies of the Workers' Party of Korea on turning the country's agriculture into advanced one and achieving stable and sustainable growth of agricultural production with science and technology as an engine for the development of agriculture.

An inauguration ceremony of the remodeled North Hamgyong Provincial Institute of Agricultural Science took place on Tuesday.

Present there were Han Yong Song and Kim Pong Gil, secretaries of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, researchers of merits in the field of agriculture scientific research, employees of the institute and agricultural workers in Kyongsong County.

Sin Chol Ung, chairman of the rural economy committee of the province, addressed the ceremony to be followed by speeches.

On the same day, the participants visited the remodeled North Hamgyong Provincial Plant Quarantine Station in Chongjin City.
