The institute is pushing ahead with the work to spread the mobile-phone program for forecasting insect damage newly developed in cooperation with the State Hydro-meteorological Administration.

It makes the researchers display high responsibility and devotion in analysis of data on insect detection from many units across the country, thus ensuring the scientific accuracy of observation and forecast.

It has also stepped up the work to develop and produce effective insecticide means and make a correct estimate of the first outbreak time of potato blight in close cooperation with scientists of Kim Il Sung University.
