The committee said in the letter that the participants in an international joint meeting, held in Jakarta of Indonesia to mark with splendor the 70th anniversary of the Korean people's great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War as a common holiday of the progressive mankind, extend the warmest congratulations and greetings to His Excellency Kim Jong Un and all the Korean people on this significant day.

It noted that under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung the Korean people won a brilliant victory on July 27, 1953 by defeating the invasion by the U.S. which boasted of being the "strongest" in the world and, therefore, this day is recorded as the second liberation day in the history of the glorious Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

It said this historic victory, won by the two-years-old DPRK in showdown with the ferocious imperialist allied forces, clearly proved the truth that the people who are guided by the prominent leader and firmly believe in their own strength can work miracles by defeating any formidable enemy.

Today the Korean People's Army is more creditably carrying forward the tradition of victory, frustrating the escalating threat and challenges from the hostile forces and making world-startling miraculous achievements under the wise guidance of respected His Excellency Kim Jong Un, the letter said.

It sincerely wished Kim Jong Un good health and bigger success in his important work for further turning the DPRK into an invincible power and safeguarding global peace and security.
