Present there were Madav Kumar Nepal, chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (United Socialist), and Rafael Mariano, president of the Philippines-Korea Solidarity and Friendship Society who are co-chairmen of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea, and members of the regional committee and personages of different countries.

Present there were through video conferencing Damian Ogbonna, national chairman of the People's Progressive Party of Nigeria, and the chairman of the International League of People's Struggle who are co-chairmen of the Organizing Committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, personages of progressive political parties of more than 10 countries including Russia, Germany, the UK, Spain, Thailand, Turkiye, Australia and Peru, and members of organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and members of international democratic organizations.

The chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (United Socialist) made a keynote report at the meeting.

The young Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) could defend its sovereignty and dignity and protect the independent development environment of the state against the allied forces of U.S. imperialism, the stronghold of aggression and war, thanks to Comrade Kim Il Sung, the peerlessly great man recognized by politicians of hostile countries, he said in his report, adding that the Korean people won a brilliant victory in the confrontation with the imperialists which have lasted century after century, holding Comrade Kim Jong Il with matchless courage, pluck and distinguished strategy, thus recording only victories in the proud history of heroic Korea.

He stressed that the ever-victorious history of the DPRK is successfully carried forward by Comrade Kim Jong Un and the indomitable spirit of an independent power is being more powerfully demonstrated.

Speeches were made by the national chairman of the People's Progressive Party of Nigeria, the chairman of the International League of People's Struggle and the president of the Philippines-Korea Solidarity and Friendship Society.

A congratulatory letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

And an open letter to the UN secretary general from the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea was read out.

The letter demanded that the UN secretary general prevent the U.S. forces in south Korea from abusing the name of the UN any longer and make the UN maintain impartiality in the issue of the Korean peninsula.

Screened at the meeting were videos showing the heroic feats of the participants in the Fatherland Liberation War and the advantages of the Korean-style socialism. Photos disclosing the brutal massacres committed by the U.S. imperialists during the past Korean war were also introduced.
