In the message Nicolas Maduro Moros extended warm greetings, on behalf of the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian government and on his own behalf, to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the 78th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

On the occasion of the day, he expressed the Venezuelan people's firm solidarity with the fraternal Korean people who defeated Japanese imperialism to achieve the national liberation under the wise leadership of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the peerless hero, and wished the DPRK prosperity and well-being.

I take this opportunity to affirm our support for the fraternal DPRK's right to national self-determination and territorial integrity and our will for friendship and cooperation with the DPRK, the message said, adding:

Sincerely hoping that your major plans for prosperity and happy future of the DPRK and the Korean people would be successfully realized, I reaffirm the stand of the Bolivarian government of Venezuela to maintain the close ties of friendship between the two countries for well-being and peace.
