Efforts Made for Increased Electricity Production
Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- Workers of hydraulic and thermal power stations in the DPRK strive to put the water control on a scientific basis of higher level and give precedence to coal supply.

The Suphung Power Station invented and introduced valuable technical innovations and realized the rational load dispatch according to water quantity to boost the production.

Officials, workers and technicians of the Jangjingang Power Station have successfully ensured high-level and high-efficiency operation by using a real-time efficiency measuring system introduced into cascaded power stations, and updated equipment necessary for normal operation of the flood disaster management information system.

The Hochongang Power Station has taken technical measures to put water control on a scientific basis, while carrying on the reinforcement of hydraulic structures.

The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex has strengthened the cooperation with relevant units to secure enough coal for winter production.

Similar measures were taken at the Chongchongang Thermal Power Plant, too.
