Public Protests against Traitor Yoon Suk Yeol Get Stronger in Region of South Korean Puppets
Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Public protests against the U.S. hell-bent on the moves to ignite a nuclear war and to oust traitor Yoon Suk Yeol who is driving the situation on the Korean peninsula to an extreme phase, pursuant to the U.S. moves, is gaining momentum across the region of south Korean puppets.

The Peace Action involving more than 700 civic and public organizations held a press conference in Ryongsan of Seoul on Aug. 14 at which it called for halting war drills, forcing the U.S. forces to be withdrawn and ousting traitor Yoon Suk Yeol, in order to prevent a nuclear war.

Speakers there said that only Yoon is making reckless remarks inciting hostility and confrontation and seeking a new Cold War together with the U.S. and Japan at a time when all the people are worried about the unprecedented danger of a nuclear war.

The organizations in a press release said that the large-scale joint military drills to be staged by the Yoon Suk Yeol "regime" in conspiracy with the U.S. are war drills based on the "operational plan" aimed at "preemptive attack", "overthrow of social system" and "occupation," adding that they are clearly not defensive drills but drills for mounting a "preemptive attack" on the north and, furthermore, for "conquer" the north by mobilizing the U.S. strategic assets.

Civic and public organizations held a press conference in Ryongsan of Seoul to demand the dissolution of the "UN Command."

Speakers said there that the U.S. is misusing the name of the "UN Command" and that a resolution on disbanding the "UN Command" was adopted at the 30th Session of the UN General Assembly in 1975 but the U.S. forces are still stationed on the Korean peninsula under the helmet of the "UN forces", escalating the danger of war.

Civic organizations staged actions demanding peace and repeal of the fascist evil law.

At a press conference held outside the Suwon local court, the organizations said that the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) and its core members were branded as spy groups and spies, adding that the Yoon Suk Yeol "regime" took the KCTU as sacrifice to evade the crisis facing them and that they would turn out in the struggle for repealing the "National Security Law" misused for maintaining its power.

The KCTU held a press conference in Seoul on Aug. 15 at which it declared to fight to the end against war and for the withdrawal of the U.S. forces and ousting of traitor Yoon Suk Yeol.

Media said that people from all walks of life are uneasy over the expected largest-ever joint military drills, Ulji Freedom Shield, according to the "operational plan" including the idea of "preemptive attack" on the north amid the growing danger of war under the headlines of "Immediate halt to Ulji Freedom Shield to make this land a powder keg for nuclear war" and "Dangerous muscle-flexing only leads to disaster," adding people from all walks of life said that the way of preventing a nuclear war is to stop war drills, force the U.S. forces to be withdrawn and oust Yoon.
