Competition will be made in men's and women's singles and doubles and mixed doubles of the tournament attended by more than 300 professionals and amateurs.

The opening ceremony took place at the Table-Tennis Gymnasium in Chongchun Street on August 20.

Present there were O Kwang Hyok, vice-minister of Physical Culture and Sports, officials of the table-tennis association and players.

After an address was made at the ceremony, there were group league matches.
