Officials and workers at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the Chongjin Steel Plant and other units improved the drainage system so that raw and other materials were not flooded. And they reinforced the power system to ensure the normal production even at the time of typhoon.

In close cooperation with the hydro-meteorological unit, Sodusu and Orangchon power stations and other electricity production units have put the water level adjustment on a scientific basis and kept watch on the structures in real time to protect and maintain the transmission and transformation equipment in a responsible manner.

To keep the pits from being flooded, the Kyongwon Area Coal Mining Complex and the Onsong Area Coal Mining Complex took steps to provide various kinds of equipment and materials, check the pumping equipment for drainage on a regular basis and ensure the safe supply of electricity.

Similar prevention measures were taken by the Chongjin Railway Bureau and fishery units.
