The Agricultural Commission and the agricultural guidance organs at all levels are pushing ahead with grass-cutting for preparations for next year's farming, while minimizing damage by disastrous abnormal weather.

Since setting a high goal for producing grass compost, North Phyongan Province has mowed much grass in the right time. And the province has scrupulously organized the work to rationally use tractors and labor force.

Through the socialist emulation drives among farms, work-teams and sub-workteams, Pukchang and Maengsan counties in South Phyongan Province surpassed the plans by cutting even the grass on field paths and around rivers.

Similar successes have been made by North Hamgyong and South Hamgyong provinces and Pyongyang and Nampho municipalities.
