Film Show Held for Russian Embassy Members
Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- A film show for members of the Russian embassy here took place at the Taedongmun Cinema on Aug. 22 to mark the 78th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Present there were Kim Ho Yong, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Association, officials concerned and Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy members.

Speeches were made at the film show.

Kim Ho Yong said that the militant friendship and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries formed in the days of struggle against the common enemy have become a proud tradition of the DPRK-Russia ties and are displaying their invincibility and might in the struggle to smash the imperialists' arbitrary practices and hegemony.

He expressed the will to strive for steadily developing the bilateral friendly ties in the spirit of the agreement reached at the historic DPRK-Russia summit meeting.

Alexandr Matsegora said that the tradition of fraternal friendship and comradely mutual trust between the peoples of the two countries was provided in the sacred war for Korea's liberation, and referred to the fact that the Russia-DPRK strategic and tactical cooperation is being further strengthened thanks to Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation.

He affirmed that the just struggle of the two peoples fighting shoulder to shoulder against the moves of the U.S. and its vassal forces will surely win.

Then, the participants watched the DPRK-Soviet Union co-produced feature film "From Spring to Summer".
