The presentation was held on the theme of "Expansion of the production capacity of minerals and nonferrous metals". It brought together teachers, researchers, technicians and graduate students of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgy, the Ferrous Mining Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, the Central Mining Research Institute and other units.

Highly appreciated were several proposals conducive to revitalizing production such as guaranteeing the mass mining and mass treatment of minerals at cutting faces and locally producing reagents in the ore dressing process.
