The Sohung Poman Fish Farm has established a technique of artificial spawning of fish and introduced a method of rearing snakeheads with assorted feed.

The Yomju Youth Fish Farm, which raised the survival rate of fish, has stocked rivers and streams with more than 2.1 million fry this year.

The Chongjin City Breed Fish Station has taken measures for supplying feed including building a 100-odd square meters of microbial culture ground while raising the fertility and survival rate of fish.
