With a deep insight into the importance of designing in the postwar reconstruction and the building of Juche-oriented chemical industry, President Kim Il Sung took a step to set up designing institutes in August Juche 42 (1953).

The institutes, which were founded and made a proud course of development thanks to his loving care and trust, had grown into competent design groups and successfully fulfilled their revolutionary tasks under the energetic guidance of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The peerlessly great men's immortal exploits for the founding and development of the institutes are shining more brilliantly under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

True to the Party's Juche-oriented idea on architecture, the institutes have successfully carried out in a responsible manner the designing tasks for monumental structures in the era of the Workers' Party and many objects needed for regional construction and for the development of the chemical industry.

Meetings were held on Sunday to mark the 70th founding anniversaries of the Kangwon Provincial Designing Institute and the Hamhung Chemical Designing Institute.
