The book contains 59 works including historic speeches, talks and conclusions made by the President in the period from July to December, Juche 43 (1954).

In his works he clarified the main tasks and ways facing our Party after the war, including the issue of more firmly uniting all the people politically and rallying all the democratic forces of the country close around the Party and the government of the Republic.

The works clarify the policy issues of removing the deformation and lopsidedness of the industry, the remnants of the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule, and building the national economy with our own efforts and technology in postwar reconstruction, and the principled issues arising in the transformation of agriculture into socialist one.

Among them is a work dealing with the idea of frustrating the enemy's moves by the concerted efforts and achieving the cause of national reunification as early as possible by expanding and strengthening the united front involving democratic political parties, social organizations and people of all social strata in the north and the south of Korea desiring for the peaceful reunification of the country.

The book also contains works giving perfect answers to the theoretical and practical issues arising in postwar reconstruction, including the issue of teaching the history of the struggle of the Workers' Party of Korea at all universities and the issue of excavating and properly preserving historical remains and relics.
