Officials, scientists, technicians and teachers in the relevant fields including urban management, design, industrial art and education were present at the symposium which was held on the theme of "socialist civilization and greening".

The participants watched a video showing the successes and experience gained by model units in creating landscape in cities and rural villages.

Son Kyong Ae, dean of the faculty of Pyongyang University of Architecture, Kim Su Chol, vice-director of the Jagang Provincial Designing Institute, Pak Chol Ryong, chief engineer of the Horticultural Management Bureau of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee, and Kim Myong Ho, vice-minister and concurrently department director of the Ministry of Urban Management, made speeches.

There was anaudition show of scientific and technological lecture on design methodology of landscape and tech-data on greening which are being widely used in creating landscape.
