Scientists, technicians, teachers, researchers and field officials of various units including the Academy of Light Industry under the Ministry of Light Industry and Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry took part in the national symposium and sci-tech successes presentation. They positively proposed creative views while exchanging new research successes and technologies.

The symposium, which was held on the theme of "Development of multifunctional cosmetics", had discussions and question-and-answer session on the trend of development of functional cosmetics and issues arising in improving quality and creating new effects.

The sci-tech successes presentation discussed and estimated more than 40 papers conducive to updating production processes, developing new products and improving the quality and productivity of goods.

Scientific and technological proposals for increasing the proportion of locally available raw materials and improving quality indices of products were published and rational views exchanged at the symposium on the production of quality soap.
