Grass-cutting Campaign in Rural Areas of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Agricultural officials and workers in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK have produced millions of tons of cut grass through an intensive socialist emulation drive.

Officials worked out detailed daily plans and concentrated manpower on the campaign after making an in-depth on-the-spot survey.

The farms took measures to protect crops from natural disasters and carried out their daily mowing plans without fail through an effective allocation of manpower and vehicles.

Cut grass piled in depositories will be used as green manure after undergoing necessary processes.
