Anniversary of Pyongyang Teachers Training College Marked
Pyongyang, September 1 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang Teachers Training College, which has turned into a pedigree establishment for training educators under the great loving care of the Workers' Party of Korea, is greeting its 55th founding anniversary.

President Kim Il Sung founded the college as a base for training talents of primary education in the capital city on September 1, Juche 57 (1968) and clearly indicated the orientations and ways for its development.

Chairman Kim Jong Il sent modern experimental equipment and animal samples to the college again and again, highly appreciated the successes achieved in education and research and deeds displayed by its teaching staff and students and guided the college to make innovations in implementing the Party's education policy.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, with a far-reaching plan to further strengthen teacher-training colleges, guided the work for renovating the college in a modern way as required by the new era. He visited the newly-built college in January 2018 to call on its officials and teaching staff to devote their wisdom and passion to education, deeply mindful of the importance of their duties.

Pyongyang Teachers Training College has so far made and generalized hundreds of educational and scientific research successes to many units to serve as an academic research and dissemination center in the work for improving the education contents and methods at teacher training colleges. It takes the lead in bringing about a radical improvement in Korean-style education.
