The Lao president in his message extended warm congratulations to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the Central Committee of the WPK, the government and all the people of the fraternal DPRK on behalf of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the government and people of Laos and on his own behalf on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Over the past 75 years since its founding the DPRK has made sustained and comprehensive development under the courageous and powerful leadership of the WPK, the message noted, and went on:

The DPRK has achieved solid political stability and sustained economic growth, rapidly developed the national defence and security forces and improved the people's standard of living.

I am very pleased with this.

I will closely cooperate with Comrade in order to bring substantial benefits to the peoples of the two countries by strengthening and developing the long-standing friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and, furthermore, achieve peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the rest of the world.

I am firmly convinced that the DPRK will achieve ceaseless development and prosperity in attaining the goal of building a powerful socialist country and realize the cause of peaceful reunification of the country without outsiders' interference under the courageous and powerful leadership of the WPK headed by Comrade.

The message sincerely wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and greater fresh success in his noble and honourable work.
