National Art Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- A national art exhibition opened with due ceremony at the Okryu Exhibition House on Tuesday to celebrate the 75th birthday of the DPRK.

Seen at the exhibition venue are art pieces depicting the august images of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who performed immortal exploits for the founding and development of the DPRK.

A Korean painting "In the days when the flag and emblem of new Korea were born", an acryl painting "The birth of new Korea" and others tell about the personality of the President as a peerlessly great man who built a people's country for the first time in the nation's history of 5 000 years and led the DPRK along the road of victory. They add to the boundless yearning for the peerless hero and founding father of the country.

A Korean painting "Visiting the fishery station even on rainy days" and other works remind the visitors of the benevolence of the Chairman who made tireless, high-intensity forced march all his life to reliably defend the destiny of the country and its people and socialism and ushered in a new era of the country's prosperity.

An oil painting "Bringing about radical change in Samjiyon City" and others show with deep emotion the world of devoted service of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is demonstrating the dignity and might of the DPRK on the highest level and translating the people's dreams and ideals into reality.

Also displayed there are art pieces showing the looks of the working people striving to attain the 12 major goals for the development of the national economy.

Present at the opening ceremony were Choe Chang Hak, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee, officials of ministries and national institutions, officials and creators in the field of fine art and working citizens in Pyongyang.

Vice-Premier Kim Song Ryong made an opening address.
