National Book Exhibition Opens in DPRK
|Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- A national book exhibition was opened in the DPRK with due ceremony at the Grand People's Study House on Thursday to celebrate the 75th birthday of the DPRK.
Present there were Choe Chang Hak, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials, journalists and editors of publishing organs.
Vice-Premier Jon Sung Guk made an opening address.
He called on the officials, journalists and editors in the publishing sector to be well aware of the duty and role they have assumed in imbuing the whole Party and society with the revolutionary idea of the Party Central Committee, write and edit publications in a dignified way and strive to steadily improve the style and level of publications.
At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the exhibition hall.
On display at the exhibition are more than 15, 000 books and magazines of over 10, 000 kinds including classic works of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
The books deal with the feats of the peerlessly great men who built a genuine people's country on this land and turned the DPRK into an invincible socialist fortress and a paradise of Juche where the people's ideals and dreams are translated into reality with their unique idea of nation-building and energetic leadership.
