National Experience-sharing Meeting Held in Forestry Sector

Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- A national meeting of exchanging experiences in the forestry sector of the DPRK was held at the Grand People's Study House on September 6-7 through video-conferencing under the sponsorship of the Korean Forestry Association of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Present there were officials, scientists, technicians and graduate students from more than 10 units including Kim Il Sung University, Wonsan University of Agriculture, Sariwon Kye Ung Sang University of Agriculture, the Academy of Forest Science of the Forestry General Bureau of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and the North Hamgyong Provincial Tree Nursery.

The participants heard scientific and technological successes and experience gained in greenhouse sapling cultivation, rapid sapling cultivation and tissue culture.
