In the message, Putin extended his heartfelt congratulations to Kim Jong Un on the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Noting that 75 years ago, the Soviet Union recognized first a new independent state founded in Korea, the message said that since then, the relations between the two countries have invariably developed on the principle of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual respect and that rich experience of constructive cooperation has been accumulated in various fields.

The message said:

I am sure that we will, in the future, too, expand the bilateral ties in all respects in a planned way by pooling efforts.

This fully conforms with the interests of the peoples of our two countries and will contribute to ensuring security and stability in the Korean peninsula and Northeast Asia.

It sincerely wished Kim Jong Un good health and success and wished all the citizens of the DPRK peace and prosperity.
