Present there were Wang Yong, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Yang Wanming, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Sun Weidong, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Sun Haiyan, deputy head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and relevant officials of the Central Military Commission of China, the Association for International Friendly Contact, and other officials concerned.

Wang Yong in his speech extended sincere congratulations and best wishes to the fraternal Korean people marking the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK, saying that the China-DPRK friendship, which has overcome complicated international disturbance and upheavals of the times, is precious common wealth.

The Chinese side sincerely wishes the Korean people continuous fresh successes in the cause of socialist construction under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by General Secretary Comrade Kim Jong Un, he said.

Ri Ryong Nam said in his speech that the DPRK's history of 75 years is a proud course of victory in which it has dynamically advanced to build a powerful socialist country in the face of all sorts of ordeals under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

He wished the Chinese people continuous great successes in the work for achieving the great prosperity of the Chinese nation under the firm leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core.

A performance was given by Chinese artistes and children there.
