Present there were personages of the Workers' Party, the National Socialist Party, the Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) and the Awami League of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea, the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee and other political parties and social organizations.

Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, and other speakers praised President Kim Il Sung's exploits for national liberation and nation-building, saying that the foundation of the DPRK left a brilliant page in the history of the Korean people's struggle for building an independent and sovereign state.

They referred in detail to the advantages of Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses and the fact that the DPRK has secured strong national defence capabilities, for which no aggression forces dare to invade it, and proudly emerged as a strategic state recognized by the world.

It is entirely thanks to the great leaders that the DPRK has undergone such a remarkable development in a short span of time, they stressed, adding:

President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il are the greatest men revered by the world people and His Excellency Kim Jong Un is the most prominent political leader in the present era standing in the spotlight of the public attention.

Expressing belief that the Korean people, firmly united around their leader, would make leaps toward their better future, they said that the progressive people of Bangladesh extend invariable support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country and building a powerful socialist country.
