Since the start of its operation in September Juche 105 (2016), the factory has turned out and supplied a large amount of oxygen for medical use on a total of 10,000 occasions to medical curative and preventive units in Pyongyang Municipality, thus raising the survival rate of emergency patients and critical patients.

The factory is associated with the devoted efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who spares nothing for the people.

In October 2015 he gave an instruction on building a medical oxygen factory in Pyongyang and went round various places of the municipality to select a site with good natural scenery for the factory.

One day in September 2016 he visited the completed factory and expressed satisfaction over the fact that it was built in a short span of time as an edifice to be impeccable even in the distant future.

That day he said the factory intensively reflects the Workers' Party of Korea's outlook on the people and spirit of making selfless, devoted efforts for them that one should pluck even a star from the sky and bring flowers into bloom even on a rock for the sake of the people.

With his noble outlook on the people kept deep in their mind, the officials and employees of the factory have introduced tens of inventions and technical innovation proposals into production, including the home production of low-pressure turbo expanders by relying on their own technical forces, thus positively contributing to the normal production of medical oxygen.
