DPRK's Birthday Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Meetings took place in Cuba, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Norway, Romania, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, France, Finland, Mexico and Peru to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). Speeches were made at the meetings attended by personages of governments, political parties and organizations and citizens in those countries. The chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party of Romania praised the nation-building feats of President Kim Il Sung, and affirmed that his exploits would shine long along with the prospering DPRK. Personages of the Pakistan Awami National Party and the Pakistan-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee stressed that the foundation, development and victorious advance of the DPRK would be unthinkable without the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung and HE Kim Jong Il. A central executive member of the Myanmar Journalist Association said that the DPRK has advanced along the road chosen by itself without any slightest vacillation for 75 years since its foundation, weathering trials and challenges that no other country has experienced. The general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico noted that the DPRK, which has covered a brilliant journey for the past 75 years, is demonstrating its might as a politico-ideological and military power in the international arena. The chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway, the chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, the chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association and the international secretary of the Finnish Communists' League stressed that the 75-year-long history of the DPRK full of victory and glory proved that even a small country can become a great one if it is led by an outstanding leader. Congratulatory messages to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings held in Switzerland and Sweden. |
