The festival, held on the theme of "Development-and-creation-oriented Machine Design", was attended by designers, teachers, researchers, technicians, three-revolution team members from more than 70 units across the country and more than 430 research achievements including the design of machinery and equipment and various design programs were on display.

During the festival, there were a multi-dimensional design contest, prize contest, presentation of advanced design techniques and technical exchanges through sci-tech lecture.
